Minutes & Processing
How long does processing take?
90% of meetings will complete in under 10 minutes. However, processing happens completely in the background - once a meeting is submitted you can leave MuniMins and come back any point to review the finished minutes.
Can I edit minutes after they're generated?
Yes. MuniMins minutes verification interface is designed to allow you to make in-line edits without moving between different screens. How does MuniMins handle agendas?
MuniMins is focused entirely on turning municipal recordings into municipal minutes. It doesn't build, distribute, or store agendas. It does not use your agenda to build minutes either. Your board keeps doing agendas however they already do them.
Organizations & Signup
Can my town try MuniMins?
Yes. Any municipality can sign up for a free 30 day trial. The trial has a 10-meeting limit. We recommend you process at least three meetings from the same board in order to take full advantage of the speaker training and identification feature.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your town will need to sign up to continue to use MuniMins. All existing minutes will be preserved for 30 days in accordance with our account closing policy. You can access your minutes until that point but new meetings cannot be processed unless a Subscription Agrement is signed.
What if I use a personal email like Gmail?
MuniMins requires a municipal email to sign up. Since we use your email domain to connect people to the right municipality, personal email services like Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.com can't be used — there's no way to tell which municipality you belong to. If your municipality doesn't have its own email domain, reach out to us at info@munimins.com and we'll help you get set up.
How does MuniMins bill municipalities?
MuniMins subscriptions are billed on an annual basis. MuniMins can issue bills directly or accept payment via credit card.
How many meetings can MuniMins process at once?
Our system is designed to accept everything you have. Submit 1, 2 or 10 meetings at a time - whatever works for your workflow MuniMins can handle.
How much does MuniMins charge per meeting?
MuniMins does not charge per meeting. Our flat monthly fee includes up to 50 meetings per month. Most towns process between 15-25 meetings per month, but if you need additional meetings MuniMins offers additional meeting credits for an extra fee. See Plans and Billing Overview for more.
Speaker Identification
Do I need a microphone for each speaker?
No. MuniMins works with a single recording source — even a camera at the back of the room. The AI separates speakers by their voice characteristics, not by microphone.
