Public Meetings & MuniMins
MuniMins should not be used to create minutes for meetings protected under "Executive" or "Non-Public" sessions. All recordings uploaded to MuniMins must be in the public domain. Muncipalities are solely responsible for adhering to any and all local laws regarding recordings of public meetings.
While MuniMins recordings and the minutes that are produced may be considered public records, the MuniMins platform still deploys industry standard securities including:
FERPA and HIPAA
MuniMins is not FERPA or HIPAA compliant. If your meetings involve school records or health information you should not use MuniMins at this time.
Public Records Law
Municipal meeting minutes are public records under state law. MuniMins should not be used as an archival or compliance platform. When you upload to MuniMins you are uploading a "copy" of the meeting.
